Both US and Canada are countries recognized the United Nations as legitimate countries in the world. The two countries have a significant number of similarities.

The United States of America, commonly known as America is a republic in the North America continent with over 50 states, federal districts, and other self-governing territories. The country has a population of more than 325 million making the country one of the most populous around the world. Additionally, the country has an area of about 9.8 million of kilometers squared, which makes it be amongst the top five largest states.

Canada is a country located in the northern part of North America continent with a land area of more than 9.98 square kilometers thus making it the second largest country in the world. Furthermore, the state has a population of about 36 million people who mostly live in urban centers.

One of the main similarity between USA and Canada is that the two countries use English as their official language despite having other sub-languages in their respective countries. English is seen as the primary medium of communication across the nation as the majority of the people is conversant with it. However, it is important to note that other regions within the country have French and Spanish as the ordinary means of communication. This explains why French is included as an official language in Canada.

Both societies are highly educated with the majority of the people in these countries having the first degree while a significant proportion is working towards attaining a second degree. This is because the states have prioritized in education while at the same time offering subsidies to anyone who wishes and is qualified to continue with university or college education. In addition, high-income levels characterize the two countries. It is worth noting that the two countries people who are extremely rich enough to influence the economic status of a nation. However, poverty is still prevalent among the minorities who work in factories and other manufacturing industries.

Canada and United States are profoundly influenced by the European cultures due to the immigration that happened during colonization and the constant movement of people from Europe to these countries. It appears that all aspects in the two countries like culture, government structures, architecture, art, and diet are highly borrowed from the European countries. Some of the primary attributes of these influences can be associated with colonialism where the two countries were colonized by European countries (Great Britain and French). Moreover, the two countries are culturally diverse with a significant of populations from other regions, especially Africa and Asia, living here.

It is also worth noting that these units are further divided into smaller groups like counties and municipalities for easier administration.

The infrastructure development is highly prioritized with transport and communication networks playing a substantial role in the development of the two North American countries. Road networks connect each city and urban areas hence making the movement of people and goods much more comfortable. Air transport, water transport, and rail transport are populous in the two countries. Connectivity of electricity and water is extensive such that very few households are not connected to electricity, water, and gas. Moreover, other government infrastructures like learning institutions, medical facilities among others exist in excess supply.

As one of the central pillar of economic development, production is in large scale in both countries making them net exporters of goods and services. One of the main reasons as to why manufacturing is declining in both the United States and Canada is increased labor costs set out by the government as minimum wages. This has made manufacturing entities to relocate to other countries where the cost of labor and materials is lower.
