Why are gas prices going up?

The soaring prices of gas has always been an issue that tops the chart over the years. Most of us grew up hearing people complaining about it, in pubs, on the trains, the bus, in the office, the barbershop and just about anywhere you can think of. It has always been the newspapers’ headline, and we can hear it on the radio and watch it on television.

One thing is for sure, gas prices will keep increasing, and no one can stop it. It is a commodity that is not cheap, and suppliers know this, and they surely know how to play their game and make money. If people don’t stop driving, there is absolutely no solution for the gas price increase to stop, and we know for sure that this will never happen. It will always be associated with the law of supply and demand.

People all over the world drive to get to their office, visit a friend or a relative, transport commodities or just to get by for their day to day activities. It is for this reason that people are hooked on buying it, because we need gas.

Gas is a very expensive investment, and investors like businessmen would like to profit from their billions of dollars invested. Since they know that people all over the world are in dire need of gas, they manipulate the prices to make a good return out of it. Thus, causing the nation to become victims of the price hikes.

Not even the introduction of hybrid or gas-conserving vehicles can save us from gas price increases, especially since this idea has only recently been introduced, and not many people are yet aware of its advantages. Moreover, not many people can afford converting their gas fueled vehicles to hybrids. Therefore, gas consumers are still at the mercy of gas suppliers.

As long as there is a need for gas, the price will surely increase, and there is no other option but to purchase it.
