Wondering Why?

Why Are Girls Posting Inches on Facebook?

Why Are Girls Posting Inches on Facebook?

It wasn’t originally started as a breast cancer awareness game, but it sure is working. It first started with bra colors, which really up-ed donations and support for breast cancer awareness. Then as guys started guessing what was going on, the girls switched it to their foot size and inches plus a sad face, made by a colon and an opening parenthesis :( . Apart from the obvious sexual innuendo, it really has no meaning. And this doesn’t have anything more to do with the whole breast cancer awareness thing that is going on ‚ but people think it does, because it is related to the bra color postings.

The sexual innuendo part is quite simple, but difficult to explain without using crass terminology. First of all, the very number of the shoe size is supposed to represent the length of the male genitalia in inches. The word ‘inches’ is quite self-explanatory; a very common measurement to compare the varying lengths of the male genitalia. And finally, the sad face was just a little tease to men: for many guys, they are meant to believe that the length doesn’t matter, but that it’s the ‘motion of the ocean,, or so the saying goes. But girls know that length (and in that same case, girth) does matter for pleasure. When they have had a smaller one than they were hoping, it often produces less pleasure, thus the ‘sad face., So its comical that the girls, posting ‘ 8 inches :( ,, are simply just saying that they’ve had longer. This was just a teasing method.

And it did work; men on various forums began asking questions about what was going on, showing not only the spread of Facebook itself, but also the spread of this phenomena between the girls, and of course, how many guys were clearly getting upset or confused by it.
