Why do nations form alliances?

Nations across the globe are in great desire of making it to the top and be proclaimed as one of the many successful nations. Over the years, many countries and nations have emerged to be victorious in achieving their goals as a nation and in maintaining a high standard of the status quo. More so, nations are always in constant aim maintaining and establishing linkages with other nations simply to sustain the integrity of the nation as well as to provide the nation with a strong foundation, in cases where outbreaks would occur.

One common practice that nations engaged into is the formation of alliances. An alliance is a friendly agreement among nations which are typically established to advance common goals and ensure the safety of the same interests existing between nations. Over the years, several alliances have been made. Notable alliances were documented to have occurred during the outbreak of the World Wars in history. Because of the significant aid that alliances bring about, until today, alliances among nations are still established and maintained. Alliances are formed to ultimately safeguard the entire nation, may it be in the political, financial, economical and social aspects, which comprise every nation. In addition to that, alliances are significantly made to achieve the goals established by every nation. It is inevitable that nations set goals which need the aid of other nations, especially when the goal requires resources that are evidently found in other countries. In this light, the need to create alliances is sought. More so, alliances are formed by nations to create social entity and to make it known to the world that nations are working together.

Today, many alliances remain to exist and are flourishing together, in the hopes of achieving their goals as nations.
