Wondering Why?

Why Facebook is better than MySpace?

Why Facebook is better than MySpace?

Social networking site has become everybody’s best friend. Gone were the days when you have to always set a date to meet up with friends, relatives. Interacting with old and new friends has never been easy with these sites.

Among these social networking sites, facebook and myspace have been stiffly competing with each other. Due to a lot of differences between facebook and myspace, facebook has proven its versatility and user-friendly lay out and application and has left myspace panting behind the race track. Facebook has come a long way. And why not? Many believe that facebook is better than myspace in a number of aspects.

Facebook has uncomplicated and clean lay out that even the older generation can easily find their way navigating their account. You often see an entire family member in facebook from Grand dads, to moms, sisters, aunts and nephews. Myspace promotes personalized profiles, flashing designed pages. It is surely fun and exciting at the beginning, but when your page loads a turtle’s pace? Customized pages attracts younger users and are not really appealing to grannies.

Facebook is not cluttered with large banner advertisements unlike myspace where pop out advertisement seem to come from everywhere. You find difficulty to navigate with your page because of the annoying banners which sometimes occupy half the space of your page.
Facebook has taken great care with its members’ privacy, too. It allows users to share only the things they want to share such as photos, information and updates. Although myspace has privacy options as well, the function has been very inconsistent and could at times create confusion among users.
Facebook contains fun and interactive games that allow you to play with facebook friends. The games help users to be proactive. All it takes is click of an attack button to help a friend in war in Mafia Wars, and it is such a joy to redecorate your cafés in Café World. Facebook friends will even remind you to feed your hungry cats and dogs in Happy pets. Myspace have games, too but I don’t think they are fun and enjoyable as compared to facebook games.
