Why is Aerobic Exercise Important?

Aerobic fitness or Cadiovascular fitness can be defined as the body’s ability to acquire oxygen and use it to supply energy throughout the body. It determines the amount of oxygen pumped by the heart and the muscle’s efficiency to use that oxygen for the body. It also measures the ability of the body to sustain prolonged work. It helps you determine the degree of your endurance against fatigue that all of us experience daily. The more fit you are, the less fatigue you experience.

Continuous aerobic fitness can keep your muscles in good shape and make your bones and cardiorespiratory system stronger. Increasing your aerobic fitness means aggregating your heart and your cardiovascular system’s capacity to do more work with better performance.

Examples of aerobic exercises are walking, running, brisk-walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, stair-climbing, skating, jumping-rope, dancing and skiing.

Aerobic exercise has a lot of health benefits like the following:
