Why is Boosie in jail?
Born to the name Torrence Hatch on November 14, 1982, this American rapper of Louisiana is famously known as Lil Boosie. Married to Walnita Decuir-Hatch, this man now has three beautiful children, namely Torrence Hatch, Jr., Ivyana Hatch, and Tarlaysia Hatch. Raised in the southern region of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, his nickname, Boosie, comes directly from his family. As a high school student, he used to love playing basketball but was expelled when he was caught in possession of drugs. After his expulsion, he decided to become a rapper. He initially worked with C-Loc and was featured in C-Loc’s fifth album. As Boosie found ways to go solo, his first album, labeled For My Thugz, was released in 2003. Then on, his music was recognized by the people and his career in the music industry continued to flourish until this time.
However, shortly after his major album, Bad Azz, was released in the market, he was diagnosed to have diabetes mellitus. But despite that fact, the rapper was arrested for possession of illegal drugs and even pled guilty after being charged for third degree possession of marijuana on September 22, 2009. After consequences have been served, Boosie is now in prison to serve his four year imprisonment for being indicted on a first degree murder revealed to happen last October 21, 2009. Along with this indictment, he was charged of multiple drug and conspiracy charges for smuggling large amounts of codeine, ecstasy and marijuana into prison with intent to distribute. In addition to these identified charges, he may also be charged for five other slayings being currently investigated by the prosecutors.
Despite Boosie’s achievements and contributions in the music industry, he now serves the consequences of his actions and is housed in Dixon Correctional Institute.
