A Renaissance man is somebody who is considered to be an expert in many different areas or fields of study. Leonardo da Vinci was considered a great man of talent, skill, and knowledge during his time and even up to this day. For his contributions and works in various fields including science, the arts, and medicine among many others, Leonardo da Vinci is widely hailed as a true definition of a Renaissance man.

As an artist, Da Vinci is considered one of the most famous painters of his time. His paintings that remain up to today are considered one of the most beautiful and valuable works of art. His famous works such as the “Mona Lisa” and “The Last supper” are two of the most valuable paintings in the world. Many artists and painters were also inspired by the works of Leonardo da Vinci in terms of his techniques and stories behind his artworks.

Da Vinci was also involved in various fields of science and he also contributed a lot to modern technology. He was thought to have wide knowledge of geology and other related life sciences including those that deal with human nature and behavior. He also rendered various work and lent his insight in the study of optics and light. Da Vinci also contributed a lot to the field of medicine with his experience as the first person to dissect a man. During his time, Da Vinci was not only a painter or an artist, but he was also given several titles and accolades for being an inventor, a mathematician, anatomist, musician, and biologist.
Leonardo da Vinci was also considered a great philosopher with his great penchant for learning about human nature, behavior, and responsiveness. Many of his philosophical thoughts were said to be translated into stories and articles but also through his wide collection of drawings, paintings, and other pieces of artwork. Da Vinci basically did so many things in his lifetime and did well in many fields of study and work and for these reasons, people refer to him as a Renaissance man.
