The trade of all jacks and the master of many, that describes a man named Leonardo da Vinci. An Italian native born on April 15, 1452, as an illegitimate child to a peasant and a legal notary, Leonardo had had a limited childhood. At a young age of 14, he worked as an apprentice in a painting workshop. It was during this time that Leonardo gained interest in technicaland artistic skills such as casting, drafting, metallurgy, drawing, painting and sculpting among many others. Then on, he ventured into this form of career and became a professional. Most of Leonardo’s works have Florence as its social and artistic background. And through his professional career, he met a lot of contemporaries such as Bramante, Lorenzo Medici, Botticelli, Perugino and many other famous artists and painter during that time.
Across the span of his lifetime, his unique character and personality have attracted interested wonderers. Until this day, Leonardo’s private life is being speculated regarding his sexual identity, historical works and even love life. But regardless of the speculations, many have been paying tribute to this one great, magnificent man. His artistic paintings, drawings, journals and even scientific studies have made a significant impact in the lives of many people even until this modern era. His immeasurable contributions in the field of science, mathematics, art and religion cannot be equated with any new inventions and innovations.
