The laws pertaining to the French nobility did not allow her to retain the title of her first husband in her name, which adds the title Countess to her name.  Therefore, the title she has in her name is taken from her prior marriage with the French nobleman known as Count Alexandre de Lesseps. Alexandre is the heir to the architect of the Suez Canal known as Ferdinand de Lesseps.
