Why Is Lunch Important?

A lot of people especially women have body-figure issues. They are overweight and some are obese according to their Body Mass Index. This information on BMI, results most women into dieting.

Most individuals who decided to go on a diet, based their dieting into what they say on the television, read from magazines and for some are from testimonies of friends. And only a few consults a dietician about the proper way in loosing weight. Faulty dieters fall in this trap of mistakes that is skipping breakfast or skipping a meal like lunch.

Each meal through the day is important. As for breakfast, it breaks the fast from the last meal that you have taken at supper. So one should take breakfast as it jumpstarts your metabolism for the day.

Lunch on the other hand is important because, this fuels you up for the rest of a day’s activities. If you work in blue-collared jobs most especially, you need a good lunch to perk you up and keep your energy at a level that can sustain the activities of the whole day. Lunch can keep you going for the rest of the day, as it supplies energy to every cell of your body necessary for work, play or study.

But, if you take a super-sized or a heavy lunch it can also make you weak or sluggish, or sleep y after. What you need is a balanced meal to keep with its function, to keep you going through the day. A balanced diet contains enough amounts of carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and minerals. A balanced meal, can also keep you on your desired weight. Anything that is beyond normal quantity is bad for the health and the body and a deficiency or anything that’s lacking have also negative effects. Everything must be taken in moderation. So the next time you think of losing weight, do not skip any meal, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner because skipping would lead to binging.
