Born to Gladys Pearl Baker on June 1, 1926, Norma Jeane Mortensen became famous in the Hollywood lime light as Marilyn Monroe. In her early years, she spent most of her childhood living from one foster home to another. And at a young age of 16, she got married to a man named Doughtery just to allay her from transferring to another foster home or orphanage. Originally a brunette, Monroe decided to dye her hair blonde since one modeling agency encouraged her to become one of their models. After her successful modeling career in sexy poses, she decided to get a divorced after perceiving that she had a great chance of making it to the acting world. Indeed, her perception came true. In 1947, her first acting role was launched and received minor roles thereafter. However, this did not last long and in order to make use of her unemployed state, she posed for nude pictures and made her earn some money. Not until 1952 that she got involved in a scandal where she posed nude for a calendar photo, but this did not make her career fall through the pit, instead, it made her career boom. From then on, she featured in movies as a sexy actress and made it a sure hit. As her career evolved, many people have been captured by her acting prowess and alluring beauty.
Her complicated life story coupled with movies, musicals and photographs that effortlessly entertain and excite her fans are the two main reasons why this famous blonde lady named Norma Jeane Mortensen, more popularly known as Marilyn Monroe, made it successfully to the limelight. However, her star failed to shine last August 1962 when she was found dead at her home in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California.
