Oprah Winfrey is really a woman hero. She gives hope to several people in their lives. She is an example for the source of strength to those who like to achieve anything important in their lives. She was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi and now lives in Chicago, Illinois. She was brought up for six years by her grandmother as her parents were separated after she was born. At the age of seven she started living with her mother. At the age of 14, she started living with her father at Nashville, Tennessee. Ã’šÃ‚ She has some tough time while she was with her dad. She was not allowed to eat if she Ã’šÃ‚ Ã’šÃ‚ Ã’šÃ‚ does not say out 3 new vocabulary words.
She had few bad memories of her childhood. When she was seven, her cousin and his friends abused her sexually. Oprah was very much affected by this incident and was revealed by her to the Redbook. When a girl aged 4 was sexually abused and killed in 1991, Oprah was moved. The incident made her to take action on the convicted abusers and hence initiated for implementation of federal child protection legislation. She could gather help from the Illinois governor James Thompson. She fought for implementation of strict and big punishment for the child abusers. This proposal made by her was approved by President Clinton. The prospective employees were checked for their character in the previous life.
Oprah is a hero by herself in real life. Apart from this, she enacted in ‘every day heroes, in the year 2004. She searched for the people who were brave and courageous to exhibit heroism in their lives. She included all of them in her show. She helped several people financially and has won many awards. She has raised a fund of $3.5 million for college students for the sake of their scholarships. She is also a partner in ‘Habitat for Humanity, which has several poor volunteers who come forward to help build houses for poor Americans.
Oprah is no doubt a role model to everyone in the world. She showed everyone that anything can be achieved if we try hard. She also showed that thinking about right things will definitely make our life different from others.
