Why is PSN slow?

PSN is the abbreviation for PlayStation Network. PSN is handled by Sony Computer Entertainment which is an online gaming system as well as a digital media delivery service. It was produced to be used in conjunction with Play Station 3 and other Play Station video game types and versions. It was in 2006 that Play Station Network was launched and just recently, January 25 of 2011, Sony has claimed that there are over 69 million registered subscribers and 1.4 million downloads all over the countries of the world. Play Station Network committed to providing its users constant connection, free for use and technical multiplayer support. Today, Play Station Network offers great services, features, communication options and entertainment choices and is available to over 60 countries across the globe.
However, there had been complaints gathered from Play Station Network’s users. Among the variety of complaints, one of the most common problems faced by its users is the service’s speed. Although there are a lot of advantages in using the Play Station Network, the problem of its speed has greatly affected many of its users. One factor that contributes to the slow performance of Play Station Network is that Sony is still new to this application. Compared to Microsoft, it was not long ago that Sony decided to engage into producing online multiplayer gaming and digital media delivery service. Another reason why Play Station Network is slow is because of the fact it has many users. With approximately 70 million registered users, there is undeniably a greater chance for the service to be fully used up. Other factors may also contribute to its slow performance such as a poor internet connection or a low performing computer unit.
Despite this ongoing predicament, a lot are still using such service.
