Why is Daybreakers Rated R?

There have been a few pretty good vampire movies to come in the last year or so and it seems like there is a trend going around for this genre. One of the movies that has bucked the pop vampire movie genre is Daybreakers which came out not too long ago and actually did pretty darn well in the theaters. Fans seemed to flock to the theater to see this movie because it was a refreshing break from the normal Twilight type vampire movie that has been going around for the past couple years. This movie has action and adventure and a pretty good story line to go along with everything else.

A lot of people were surprised at first that the movie was rated R after seeing what seemed to be a fairly innocent trailer. The rating was spot on, though, because there was a whole lot of bloody violence, bad language and even a little bit of brief nudity. This all definitely adds up to an R rating and definitely could not pass as PG-13. This did not stop the fans of all ages from coming out to view this newer type of vampire flick and I think that says a lot about how much people enjoy seeing new things and breaking from the norm.

There is definitely a lot to like about this film from the acting capabilities to the graphic details of the fight scenes. Everything seems to be on point and that is pretty much all you can ask out of a film these days. I would have to say that this is one of the better vampire films that I have seen in a long time and I am actually a fan of the Twilight series and movies like that. I would actually go so far as to say that I would watch this movie again if I had it in my possession.
