Why Is Eminem Banned From Canada?

Eminem is a famous rapper known for his uniquely composed songs. He became recognized in the whole world for his song, Thank you which talks about the letters sent to him by a fan. Eminem truly possesses a wonderful voice the captured the hearts of rap fans. The way he performs and sings is just exclusive and rare. He has his own technique that cannot be done by any other singers and performers.

The news has recently revealed that Eminem was banned in Canada. Forums on the internet say that it is just a rumor. But the fact that a Canadian woman complained because of one of the songs he performed in his concert, has confirmed the issue. This led to Eminem’s turning back at the border so he cannot pursue his concert tour. Ontario’s Attorney-General has made sure that he will not perform because of the profane lyrics of his songs. The concern is particular with Eminem’s song, ‘Kill You, which has the lyrics ‘I invented the violence you vile, venomous, vomited bitches,. It has been argued that it is against Canada’s law of violence against women and law of expression. Lyrics of his songs contain profane languages that do not respect the right of women. Eminem was also told to be serious and not to make fun on his concert in Canada but he still did. On their way back to United States, he was caught possessing some knives and a 9mm gun.

Because of this incidence, Eminem was banned from Canada. On the other hand, Canadian women hated his songs and promised not to buy his albums anymore. According to them, Eminem must not be respected as well as he is not respecting women. The music industry is really a big part of show business industry. So singers and writers must make sure that the songs they make are 100% decent and respectful not only to women, but all the creations of God.

“Canadian women” lol. like 5% of them maybe? He is a singer, he should be able to talk about anything he wants in his songs…

Also, I would be carrying weapons to. He is one of the top selling artists in history, you do not make your way to the top without making a few enemies.

This happened about 10 years ago. Funny that they say “Canadian women” because I know a lot of women who love Eminem in my country. I thought it was because they didn’t want him to play the song “KIM” though. hmmm

What happen to a free country?? Freedom of speech???
This country is making soo many mistakes and I am starting to dislike my country. The people who don’t like Eminem songs, if you were in his shoes, you would understand and take it like a real F***ing Woman. I am a woman myself and I love Eminem songs becuz he tells the world how it is and speaking from his heart. This country is suppose to show everyone we are friendly and neautral and care.
From this article, your saying ONE Canadian woman complained, sorry but thats soo unfair to Eminem. Eminem been round for awhile now and this lady just finding out now from his concerts here that he speaks his mind??? Like people if you have a problem with eminem, don’t come to his concerts and let everyone else enjoy having him here. Everyone I know, loves Eminem. And who doesn’t carry a gun with them besides very old people? You think thats not right for a famous person to carry a gun? How else is he to protect himself, Not just his bodygaurds, they ain’t steel. Eminem is one of the #1 Hip Hop/Rap artist in this world. I would love him to come into Canada and tour so everyone WHO LOVES HIM, can see him perform live.

This is absolutely hilarious. I don’t know how long ago this was, but people let’s grow up. Did someone really complain about, “Kill You,” even though at the end of the song he says he was just kidding and he loves women. Let’s just be adults. Rappers say whatever they want because people like it when they do things they wish they were doing. People wish they could tell people they would murder them or beat them up if they were annoyed or insulted by someone else. However, for many reasons they can’t. They buy their songs because it makes them feel the way the want for the four minutes they listen to the them. This ignorant girl, because she’s not a woman, needs to learn by banning someone you’re just inciting more people to listen to him. Just like when Mark Twain used the, “N,” word in< "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," and it was outlawed it just made the book more popular because people couldn't get it in a library and they wanted to know why it was banned. Wake up people.

    I don’t understand.

All these comments saying how loved eminem is, well my son loves him too and would love to see him in concert in Canada. I am a Canadian woman and his music does not offend me.. sooo…..

I propose this, quit complaining and bashing the “one” woman who banned him and get together and have him re-instated in Canada.

If one woman could do all this, then surely the rest of you could do something to bring him back

So you’re saying. If I complain about Justin Bieber, he won’t be allowed in Canada? Or with 1D? If that’s the case, get someone on the damn phone.

I am a PROUD Canadian women, and i love eminem. I know every word to almost every song he has. I have NEVER taken offence to any of the lyrics. they are qwirky and fun, i always have a fun time keeping up with him. Some women (in all countries) are so caught up with who did this and who did that, that they wrongfully prosecute celebrities. Who gives a beep what eminem’s lyrics say, he is a lyrical genius. If the woman who complained knew music she would have put her foot in her mouth and kept quiet… how do we Canadian’s allow one women to speak for all of us ?. We are free, we have rights, and music doesnt make monsters… bad parenting does!!!!!!!!!!!! SO STOP BLAMING MUSIC EVERYTIME YOUR KID SWEARS OR ACTS OUT. and as for the 9mm he has to protect himself against haters, stockers…and taylor swift lol

I honestly like Eminem. He’s a great artist, and doesn’t deserve to be disrespected like he is in this article. I have a few Muslim friends, all of them female, who absolutely adore him. Why the hell do people discriminate rappers?
Also, of course he has a weapon! He’s one of the top rappers, and he definitely has a lot of enemies!
